Tour packages to the top of Java's highest volcano (Semeru) depart from Malang for three days and two nights, sleeping at Kalimati shelter and Lake Ranu Kumbolo, and ending in Surabaya or Malang.

Day 1
- 06.00am pick up from Malang area and ETD to Ranu Pane village (during the way, check up on medicals in the local hospital)

- 09.00am Start trekking to Kalimati shelter (during the way, have lunch in Ranu Kumbolo lake)
- 05.00pm ETA to Kalimati shelter; take rest

Day 2
- 01.00am Trekking to the Semeru summit
- 05.00am Semeru summit: enjoy a sunrise and a panorama on the highest peak in Java island
- 06.30am ETD Kalimati shelter
- 09.00am ETA Kalimati shelter, breakfast, and coffee morning
- 10.30pm ETD to Ranu Kumbolo Lake (lunch on Ranu Kumbolo lake)
- 12.00nn ETA Ranu Kumbolo Lake, lunch, camping, and recovery
- 07.00pm Diner & Free Program
Day 3
- 05.00am Enjoy the sunrise at Ranu Kumbolo lake
- 06.00am Breakfast and coffee in the morning,
- 07.00am ETD Ranu Pane Village
- 01.00pm ETA: Ranu Pane Village and Lunch (Not Included in service))
- 02.00pm ETD to Malang/Surabaya area
- 04.00pm ETA to the Malang area or 07.00pm ETA Surabaya area and finish!

Semeru volcano
The Semeru volcano is an active volcano in Indonesia's East Java province. In this region, the Indo-Australian plate subducts beneath the Eurasia plate. This is the tallest mountain on the island of Java. The name "Semeru" is derived from Meru, the Hindu world's central mountain, or Sumeru, the home of the gods. This stratovolcano is also known as Mahameru, which means "Great Mountain" in Sanskrit. It is one of the most popular hiking destinations in Indonesia.
